With over 20 years of experience in property development, we aim to go above and beyond to ensure our developments are finished to a very high standard and specification. Nick Maskrey – Director
Nick is an experienced Property Developer who has worked within the property industry for over 30 years, during which time he has gained vast experience in delivering a wide variety of projects; refurbishments, conversions and new build homes. Nick has always worked around the South Manchester area which is where he originates from and where he bought his first home (an initial refurbishment project) in Reddish at the age of 18.
Nick has a personal and historical connection with the Cringle Road site, he spent his childhood years up to the age of 10 on his Grandfather’s Pig farm which was located within the boundaries of what is now known as Highfield Country Park, a few hundred metres away from the location of the Shores Fold development. When the opportunity arose to acquire the land, Nick set his heart on being the one to transform it from a dilapidated farm site to a stunning development of new family homes for the local community in an outstanding area of beauty, as a legacy to his Grandfather.
Throughout his career, Nick has uncompromisingly sought to undertake bigger and more commercial property projects with the sole goal of becoming a multi-property Developer. This was achieved by harnessing the skills learnt during his initial projects by working on-site undertaking the day-to-day build which resulted in a vast knowledge and deep understanding of construction, enabling him to grow his business to achieve his goal of becoming a Developer complimented by a strong and highly experienced professional team.
Nick’s passion for developing property is evident in the way he describes what he does when asked, “it is like an artist painting a picture; however, we use bricks and mortar”.
After years of furthering his practical experience through refurbishing and converting a variety of properties, Nick took the step to undertake his first new-build development ‘The Harveys’, in 2015, a ten 5 bedroom property development; styling traditional Victorian with modern contemporary design. In 2019 Mauldeth Green was completed, a fantastic site of twenty, 2/3/4 bedroom homes, and Heaton Grove was completed in 2022, another beautiful contemporary development of 3 and 4-bedroom family homes.
Sarah Williams-Maskrey ACMA – Director
Sarah is a qualified accountant who has more than twenty years of experience working in and across the Estates and Property functions of large organisations. Sarah has worked at several well known companies, notably Vodafone, The Co-operative Group and Manchester Airport in a variety of Senior Finance roles and more recently Project Managing a Corporate Finance deal for a significant property disposal of circa £500m.
With Sarah’s varied experience working in both accountancy and project management it seemed a perfect fit for Sarah to join the Towerhouse team to work alongside Nick supporting and growing the business. Sarah’s first experience of working on a development was Heaton Grove which started in 2020 and gave Sarah a deep insight into the unpredictable and challenging environment that is the construction industry, exacerbated through the countless restrictions and unforeseen challenges caused by Covid.
